The economic downturn has greatly impacted many Marshfield families

When the Board of Directors for Sowing Seeds met this week it came as no surprise: Sowing Seeds has never been busier. Each month the Clothing Bank serves approximately 250 Marshfield families. Not only do the visiting families receive clothing, but also year ‘round assistance with back-to-school needs, budgetary guidance, compassionate listening and resource referrals. Reports from transportation co-ordinators and other intake volunteers show significantly greater demand for Sowing Seeds’ diverse services.
Sowing Seeds consists solely of volunteers and operates with private, local donations. If you’d like to give us a hand please write to PO Box 1001, Marshfield, MA 02050 or call: (781) 837.3337. A volunteer will return your call.
Currently, Sowing Seeds has a great demand for volunteer drivers who are willing to transport a neighbor to a Boston medical appointment.
