Wow! So many people went to great lengths to help us through our great supporters, the Friends of Sowing Seeds. What a wonderful afternoon and Fashion Show at the Indian Pond Country Club! Many hours of planning and work went into producing today’s event, both by the Friends, the clothiers, the other vendors and volunteers, the models, and WHDH's inimitable Linda Ergas, who rocked the house and live auction once again.
We don't know the words to thank the Friends' Board members (and their kind families): Kristin Dewey, Maureen Blair, Edie Kirk, and Liz Duffy Roosevelt who made this happen. To Jerome Smalls and The TJX Companies, thank you for your invaluable support, assistance and the gift of your presence. To the Roche family and Roche Bros. for their sponsorship of the Fashion Show; our community is more vibrant because of your support. To all the guests and sponsors, this day would not be a success if it weren't for your interest in serving your neighbors. Thanks for donating your time, gifts and funds to enable us to serve others. There would be no need for this event if so many families weren't hurting. We are grateful that you’re all willing to help. Last but not least, we love that today was dedicated to our old friend Tom Kramer. We will never forget his kindness, expertise, insight and compassion. We all aspire to serve our neighbors as Tom did.
Historian Franscesco Guicciardini wrote, “since there is nothing so well worth having as friends, never lose a chance to make them.” Sowing Seeds and the Friends of Sowing Seeds were given that wonderful chance today. We welcome our new friends and cherish our old. Together we will continue to serve neighbors who need and appreciate the care and goodness that you shared today.
Thank you all!
Wow! Thank You, Friends!

WOW! Hats off to the Friends of Sowing Seeds! What a great event they planned and hosted tonight. Thanks also to the Marshfield Country Club for their help in the planning and hosting of this Fashion Show. This team of "Friends" volunteers did more than raise money for Sowing Seeds. They raised awareness and our spirits.
Thanks also to the models, the vendors, shopkeepers and stores that provided the clothing, floral, hair and makeup stylists, the many contributors of the silent auction items and the live auction items. Several volunteers also enlisted the time of helpful spouses. This was a huge undertaking, pulled off with such grace!
Tonight's event would not have been successful if it weren't for the supporters, neighbors and contributors who showed up. Your presence fuels our commitment. Your bids and contributions will directly help Marshfield families struggling to get back on their feet. With your support we can help more people. Now even more families can and will get on their feet again.
A special thanks to the children who modeled. If the children didn't melt your heart you probably were out of the room when they entered. They couldn't have been more adorable. They represented what we wish for every family in town: to be well loved, well fed, well clothed and well cared for.
Thank you, Friends, for your hard work, great publicity, great fund raising and great spirit. You've infused us with an even greater commitment to help our neighbors in need. We are deeply grateful to the Friends’ Fashion Show committee: Fashion Show Co-Chair Ellen Goldenson, Fashion Show Co-Chair Jacqueline Egan, Donna Adams, Donna Brown, Tricia Bethay, Kristin Egan Dewey, Gail Dwyer, Ellen House, Kim Kulp, Lorraine Rayberg, and Carol Yaroschouk.
Last, but not least, a heartfelt thanks to the emcee and WDHD reporter, Linda Ergas. Boy or girl, her baby is going to have a tough act to follow! Linda did a spectacular job emceeing the Fashion Show and live auction. Thanks for contributing your time and talent to our cause, Linda. Welcome to Sowing Seeds!
Hats off to you all!
Of course, the night should not pass without another nod of thanks to our committed volunteers who help our neighbors all year 'round. Without them we have no Sowing Seeds. Without them many more families would still be struggling and alone in their challenges. The volunteers who give their time and talents are the backbone of Sowing Seeds. Another thanks to you tonight, good friends.
